CMCM Updates

CMCM CLOSED through May 31

The Bay Area-wide “Shelter in Place” order has been extended through May 31. In accordance with that mandate, CMCM will continue to be closed to members and the general public until at least that date.

CMCM studio reservations, equipment checkouts, workshops, and events are suspended until further notice. But since a large part of the work CMCM performs is Government services -- covering local meetings and operating the related government channels -- this work will continue since it is an essential part of public health and emergency communications between local governments and their constituents.

Programming will continue to be scheduled across all three channels, and you can submit programs to air on Marin TV electronically -- without having to leave home -- then tune into Channel 26 to see the results.

If you post your videos to YouTube, Vimeo or DropBox - just send the link. If you want to upload files to our dropbox, just ask.

To submit programs, please fill out the form found at this URL: https://cmcm.tv/online

To contact staff, please use email only. Thank you!

Experience the Art of Dickens 44 at CMCM | EXTENDED through August

Georgia Annwell Gallery

We will officially be extending Dickens 44's exhibit through August. You now have until August 31st to marvel at the works of Marin's legendary Glue Artist.

Dickens 44 works prolifically from a warehouse studio in Novato, CA. A key player in the Haight-Ashbury art scene, Bascom is still heavily influenced by the counterculture movement and isn’t shy to talk about his experience with Timothy Leary, Woodstock, and the Unknown Museum. In 1981, the artist left the country as a way to escape drug-abuse and a changing cultural landscape. He has since lived all over the globe in countries including Panama, Thailand, Brazil, and the Philippines.

Bascom plans to one day teach his form of “recycledelic fusion art” at children’s hospitals as a form of art therapy. He hopes the positive nature of his work will influence others to turn to creativity, “as an answer to boredom and confusion”.

Showing through:
August 31, 2018

Georgia Annwell Gallery Presents - Sandy Coronado

Georgia Annwell Gallery

CMCM invites you to view our current art show, Beautiful Bellies! Local artist (and expecting mother) Sandy Coronado will debut her colorful array of maternity-themed line drawings, paintings, and embroidery just in time for Mother's Day weekend. The gallery is open during CMCM business hours and is free to the public.

Sandy is a native of Chiapas, Mexico, who was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. A self-taught artist, she started drawing since she can remember and now specializes in charcoal, pencil, and oil portraits. Her work was known for its dark tone and attention to detail but now prefers to create simple, abstract drawings and paintings.
